Assignments

Teaching Philosophy (Due 3/29)

Write your teaching philosophy (~ 2 pages) and post it in “Journal.” Here is a list of things you could talk about in your teaching philosophy:

  • How you see yourself as a (Chinese) language teacher
  • What inspired you to become a (Chinese) language teacher
  • How you view language teaching
  • Your teaching methods
  • What your classroom teaching looks like
  • How have students react to your teaching
  • What you specialize as a (Chinese) language teacher

You do not need to include all of them and you should also not limit yourself to these items. This is just a guideline. Teaching philosophy differs from person to person, what one chooses to highlight in their statement also differs from person to person.

Note: Please also make sure you watch Zoom Tutorials (under “Resources” on Blog) when preparing your online micro-teaching lesson.

Watch your own teaching in this folder: Link

In the folder, you’ll also find a sub-folder named: 1-min Transcription.
